MAYNARDVILLE (WATE) – At least one person is dead in a crash involving a tractor trailer Wednesday evening on Maynardville Highway in Union County.
The accident was reported around 9:15 p.m. near Tolliver’s Market, 415 Maynardville Highway, near the Knox County line. Dispatchers confirm one death, but could not release any other information.
The Tennessee Department of Transportation says Maynardville Highway was closed in both directions at the site of the crash for more than three hours. The highway reopened around 1 a.m. Thursday morning.
No details about the crash have been released.
